Everything Tabgrab does, page by page

A short tour of each part of Tabgrab and what it is best at, from the tiles on a grab to the extension and the Mac app.

A grab

Every tab of a project, on one page

Open a grab and its tabs are laid out as large tiles. This is where you spend most of your time in Tabgrab.

tabgrab.dev/grabs

  • Tiles you can read

Each tab shows its icon, name, description and address, so you find it at a glance instead of squinting at favicons.

  • Opens in your own browser

A click opens the site as a normal tab, with your logins, password manager and extensions. App links open the app itself.

  • Detailed or compact

Switch between big tiles with descriptions and small ones that fit more on the screen.

  • Right-click to tidy up

Move a tab to another grab, or remove it, straight from its tile.

  • Unread counts

With the Chrome extension on, tiles for Gmail, Outlook and other mail sites show how many unread messages are waiting.

Add tab

Paste a link, Tabgrab does the rest

Adding a tab takes a web address or an app. Everything else is filled in for you.

From a grab or the sidebar

  • Title, description and icon, read for you

Tabgrab reads them from the site when you add it. Give it your own name if you prefer.

  • Websites and apps

A tab can also be an app, picked from popular apps like Slack, Zoom and Figma, or given as its own link such as myapp://.

  • Your apps, in the Mac app

In Tabgrab for Mac the list shows the apps on your Mac, popular ones first, with a filter to find any of them.

Grab settings

Shape each grab the way you work

Everything about one grab, on one page.

The gear on a grab

  • Name and avatar

Rename the grab and give it a picture, so it stands out in the sidebar. Images are cropped to a square.

  • Edit every tab

Change a tab's name, address and description, and add new tabs, all in one list.

  • Delete safely

Deleting a grab asks first, and says how many tabs go with it.

Settings

All your grabs at once

Settings that apply to every grab.

Profile menu › Settings

  • Grabs manager

Create, rename, open and delete grabs from one list, with the number of tabs in each.

  • Private by default

Only you can see your grabs and tabs. Each account's data is kept apart in the database itself.

Chrome extension

Grab tabs right from your browser

The extension gets tabs into Tabgrab while you browse, and opens a grab as a tab group.

Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc
